Erica, I saw you last weekend. Looked like you gain some weight. Have you been eating right? You looked fat.
Hi EricaIt's a long comment, please bear with me.I have always respected the courage you have in standing up for what you believe in, but after having listened to your latest broadcast I am afraid you might have slightly lost it. Perhaps it's the fact that there are increasing commercial dealings between you and Mr Siu, but you don't seem to dare to argue with him/ deviate from his viewpoint at all anymore, the same way Susie Wong stopped being so critical about everything once she became famous and more of a household name. The Susie Wong from 2/3 years ago would never have posted for a commercial for Park N' Shop because she detests supermarkets. And I believe the Erica Yuen from last year probably wouldn't have said what she said in the broadcast as well.In the Li Ya Peng incident, the worry was clearly not the intrusion of privacy but the nuisance and threat of physical danger caused by the cameramen to little Li Yan Er. The whole bunch of people were chasing them down the airpoprt and pushing them into a corner for god sake. Just because there is freedom of press does not mean journalists are entitled to cause nuisance and harm to other people for the sake of journalism. I remember years ago journalists forced themselves into Shawn Yue's home and scared her old grandmother so much she had to be sent to the hospital. Does it have to come to this again before journalists could be stopped? It's widely reported that Li Yan Er had a born defect and no one ever denied it. Li Ya Peng actually said he wouldn't mind them taking photos from far away as long as they did not disturb/ scare his kids. That to me is already a very generous bottom line. But to suggest that the best way to protect her is to not bring her out at all is absolutely ridiculous. It is cutting one's toes to fit into the shoes. It was a public place where the incident happened and he really had no right to stop them from filming, but he had every right to protect his daughter from their nuisance. It had nothing to do with being shameful of Yan Er's defect. He probably would have done the same if Yan Er did not have that defect. She was only a few years old! Faye never liked the press disturbing Dou Jing Tong either, but she happened to be a very brave sister and decided to protect her younger sister. You mentioned Chi Lam didn't mind his son being filmed 'because he was handsome'. I don't believe that to be true. Chi Lam and Anita were probably OK because the shots were taken from far away and the kid was not scared/ disturbed. I could bet if one day journalists forced him into the corner just to take pictures of him there would be a public outcry too, including from his parents. It was wrong for Li to actually hit the journalist but that doesn't mean the journalists weren't wrong to disturb the kids who weren't even celebrities themselves. It sounded like you initially thought along the same line as I do but upon Mr Siu's comments you seemed to have lost your plot and followed his. I really really hope it was just a bad/ unprepared night on your part and not that you really agree with Mr Siu on his rather selfish viewpoints. As much as Li Ya Peng was wrong to get physical, I can't believe this time you are siding with the press.
don't think too much.是我說不贏他，也別再節目裡糾纏太久。You mentioned Chi Lam didn't mind his son being filmed 'because he was handsome'.---i didn't say that.. he did... and there's not much point to argue...mr shui is a tough 辯論對手 indeed.anyway... pls see my newest article on li ya peng issue.thanks for your long comment!
Erica is doesn't sound very smart.
um...your English doesn't sound very good either.
Erica,My English is better then you. You try your best?Martin Oei
Martin Oei 提到... Erica,My English is better then you. You try your best?Martin Oei世澤兄,真是的,唔好玩彌明啦:PDaniel.
Dear EricaThanks for your response. I am sorry if I sounded harsh but I did (still do) have a lot of expectation for you as you are one of the few who dare to speak up against TVB. You are totally a breathe of fresh air in this controlled, manipulative business. I wish I could see the day where you could speak up against some evil controlling entertainment enterprises too (I am sure you know what I mean).I just read your article on the incident and you did articulate your viewpoint much better in written form. Keep it coming! :)BTW I feel bad you didn't win (or at least place) Miss HK in 2005 but I guess it all worked out for the best now.Good luck and stay firm!Marco
