ok... i got this medical insurance renewal notice a while ago... asking me to sign the sheet and mail it back to my med ins agent for policy renewal...

Fine.

but i looked through the whole mail packge and found no return envelop, not to mention if it's stamped or not.

since it's a hassle (indeed not really) to look for stamps and envelops in my mom's house, the renewal letter has been sitting on my desk for quite a while... and i'm starting to reconsider my real need of this policy.

afterall, Blue Cross might lose a small customer like me because of not including a return envelop in its policy renewal package.

you know, one thing about doing business is to make payment process as convenient and as fast as possible right?

they just totally missed it.

HI Erica,

Haha..you are damn right! In fact you have more business sense and I believe you can also be successful in commercial field as well as entertainment business! Don't waste your talent! ^_^

In my line of work I see a LOT of inefficiencies within businesses, from the very small to the very large. However, I'm pretty sure that in this case it was a packaging error, because there is no way any business would be foolish enough to deliberately come up with something to delay their own process cycles.

If they did this on purpose, then I don't think you should continue buying insurance from this company, as it is bound to head downhill sooner or later.

I think the policy still stands if you pay within one month grace period (31 days) after the due date. This would be irrelevant if you decided to terminate the medical insurance policy.

I'll take that into note and be super careful in the future about these stuffs. (I'm a business major, lol)

But sooooo true. Why do you have to run around the house half of the day to look for envelope and stamps and god knows what else to just get that thing mailed ? After all, they're offering the service!

Don't worry. Just put it in the mailbox. It will be delivered anyway. Post office will ask Blue Cross pay for the postage. You shouldn't spend it. They couldn't save it.

i won't renew with them. the agent didn't even ring me up to follow up!
just expect me to fill the form and pay the premium? no way...

not about the stamp... they dun even include an envelop for me.
too lazy to writing her address on a blank envelop.

isn't this the e-payment era already? :) your bank will mail it for free at the exact date you want.

i agree with you that probably some dumb@$$ at the corp took some cost cutting initiave. but it is not environmental friendly to send out these envelopes when many do not use them now.

so they forgot to include a reply-paid envelope. biiiiig deal.

so you can afford to buy a stack of books from page one, but find it troublesome to get a stamp and envelope. u could've bought all the stamps and envelopes u need in the time it took u to write ur blog.

look it may b the insurance co's fault but u really should get a life and deal with it instead of whinging about it in ur blog.

it won't add depth to ur character, no offence.

you totally missed my point.
(just like the way the insurance company did!)

it's not about time and money for me in getting stamps and envelop; it's about how they do business.
